Fields of application

TRIMET CCR wire is used in particular for:

insulated cables for low and medium voltage networks
conductors for overhead lines
flexible cables for robotics and railway applications
nickel-plated cables for aerospace
enamelled wires for windings

Its low weight, high electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance and compatibility with various surface treatments make it a high-performance and economically attractive solution.

Main electrical alloys

CCR 137050 CONDUCTAL® (equivalent to CE grade): Widely used in the manufacture of insulated wires and cables for electricity transmission and distribution, as well as for bare conductors in overhead power lines (e.g. AAC, ACSR).
CCR 137072 (TAL) and 8040 (ZTAL): Designed to withstand higher operating temperatures and provide increased current carrying capacity. Used for wires and cables in electricity transmission and distribution.
CCR 610145, 610155, 610166 ALMELEC®: Aluminium-magnesium-silicon alloys developed by TRIMET for bare conductors of the AAAC type and for neutral catenary systems. They provide double the mechanical strength with only a limited loss of electrical conductivity.
CCR 131050 ALUFLEX®: Aluminium-iron-magnesium alloy for small-diameter wires used in aerospace, automotive applications, and for cable braids and shielding.

Brands and Diameter

The products are delivered in coils of 2 or 2.4 tonnes. The standard rod diameter is 9.5 mm, with other diameters available on request (7.5 – 12.2 – 15.2 – 19 mm).
